80hr Therapeutic Yoga Foundations

Learn how to teach and practice yoga from an integrative and therapeutic perspective.

80hr Therapeutic Yoga Foundations Teacher Training

Learn a greater understanding of the therapeutic benefits of yoga, the mind-body connection, the science of stress, experiential anatomy, the role of physiology and biomechanics and hands-on practices. With the guidance of experienced teachers and mentors, students will learn how to embody the practices to care for themselves and teach intelligently sequenced, safe, sustainable, and well-rounded group classes to a variety of student populations, including those who may be facing some health challenges.

NOTE: This 80hr program is designed as a bridge for teachers to understand the therapeutic benefits of yoga, addressing common health concerns in group classes and assessing individual needs within a group class. It is NOT a yoga therapy training. For more information on accredited programs in Yoga Therapy and becoming a Certified Yoga Therapist, please inquire at www.iayt.org.
