Our Meditation Teacher Training is a 4-month program for understanding meditation, the mind-body connection, and how to share a variety of meditation practices with others. With the guidance of Alyssa Pfennig, yoga therapist, E-RYT 200/RYT 500, students will learn how to deepen and broaden their personal practice of meditation and pranayama and teach various meditation techniques.
• A variety of styles of meditation, including mindfulness, mantra and more • The structure of the mind, neuroscience, and the benefits of meditation • Pranayama techniques and their relationship to meditation • The subtle body, including the koshas and chakras • Chanting, body scans, sound healing and more
• Maintain a daily, personal meditation practice • Set up a student(s) for meditation seated, lying down or supported • Lead guided relaxations + various meditations • Teach simple pranayama techniques to prepare for meditation

Bi-Monthly Audio/Video Calls: Every two weeks, you will be required to join us on a call where you can share your questions and experiences. Alyssa will guide discussion and a meditation or pranayama practice. You will have the following two weeks to practice on your own and/or practice teaching to others. In addition, you'll be added to a private Facebook group where you can get questions answered and get to know your fellow trainees.
Some practice and knowledge of basic meditation, chakras and/or pranayama recommended, but not required. If in doubt, please inquire with us.

You will receive a certificate upon completion of all of the requirements. Eligible for CEs with Yoga Alliance. Reading list, syllabus and online resources will be distributed one month before the start of the program.
The yoga therapy components of our teaching are based on other qualifications and credentials, not derived from our status with Yoga Alliance Registry. Alyssa Pfennig is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).
